Our Baby Meetup offers expecting and new parents a warm, welcoming space to gain reliable knowledge and practical support on topics such as infant nutrition, baby care, and the first steps into family life. The meetup is open to all infants and their parents, as well as pregnant women—companions are also welcome. People with limited German or English skills are especially warmly invited to join. It takes place weekly. The sessions are alternately led by our breastfeeding consultant and our baby support coordinator. A one-time registration is all that’s needed to participate.

Course Content

Support from the Breastfeeding Consultant

• Theoretical and practical knowledge about health-conscious infant nutrition.
• Hands-on guidance for breastfeeding.
• Discussion of common breastfeeding challenges and how to avoid issues.
• Support with existing breastfeeding difficulties.
• Transition from breastfeeding to solid food and weaning.
• Tips on sleep and establishing routines.
• Opportunity for brief one-on-one consultations during the course.

Support from the Baby Support Coordinator

• Regional support services for families (Hanau and Main-Kinzig district).
• Tips on managing siblings and strengthening bonding.
• Activity ideas for engaging with your baby.
• Information on parental allowance, child benefit, and other applications.
